Horseshoe J Dude Ranch has been offering summer horse camp
experiences since 1957. The dates for 2026 are listed below.
Overnight “Wranglers” have the option of sleeping in a Conestoga
Covered Wagon or a cabin. Our overnight camps are limited to 20
“wranglers” per week, thereby allowing for maximum personal attention.
The overnight camps are geared for ages 6 to 18 years old. Each
“Wrangler” is assigned their own horse for their stay on the ranch. Many
hours are spent with the horses every day. “Wranglers” learn how to care
for their horse, grooming, saddling, riding instruction and many hours out
on the beautiful trails, through the wooded trails and valley. The ranch is
home to many horses to suit from the very beginner rider, right up to the
experienced “Wrangler”.
Along with the many hours spent with the horses, “Wranglers” also
participate in a complete camp program including outdoor games, hayrides,
campfires, and swimming in the large inground pool. All meals and snacks
are included.
This is truly a horse camp experience, like no other, where memories have
been being made for over 60 years, that last a lifetime!!!
The Ranch Day Camps run from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 4pm.
The day camps are geared for children 4 years old to 16 years old. Camp
includes a horse program involving safety around horses, grooming,
learning to saddle and care for the horses, and riding on the trails. The
“Wranglers” also participate in outdoor games, hayrides, a craft, and
swimming in the ranch inground swimming pool. “Wranglers” bring their
own lunch and a water bottle daily. Some snacks will be provided.
Family Camp is an introduction to the ranch experience. You will be given
the opportunity to learn some horse safety and grooming instruction,
followed by an hour trail ride. Families participate in horse decorating, a
hayride, swimming in the large inground pool, with a campfire and smores
in the evening. A BBQ of hamburgers, hotdogs, salads and dessert is
provided for dinner and a pancake breakfast on the Sunday morning.
Accommodations are in a cabin or covered wagon. It is truly a rustic camp
experience.

Day Camps: $680 + HST per camper - 9:00am to 4:00pm daily

Monday August 17th - Friday August 21st
Overnight Camps: $1520 + HST per camper - Sundays at 4:00pm to Fridays at 7:00pm
Sunday July 12th - Friday July 17th
Sunday August 9th - Friday August 14th
Family Camp: $189 + HST per person - Saturday at 2:00pm to Sunday at 10:00am
Saturday June 27th - Sunday June 28th
